Well, year 2020 draws to a close now and I guess that you will all agree with us that that one is so far not the best one of this century ! We are sure that like us, you are more than happy to close it and you are looking forward with impatience to 2021….  

Anyway, year 2020 learned all of us a lot on a couple of things….. notably :

• our physical and regular contacts with our family, our friends and our loved ones are definitively an invaluable gift that we missed in 2020 and that we all hope to retrieve in the course of 2021 ! 
  
  
• teleworking on a full-time basis is possible but is certainly not a panacea… with our colleagues we missed contacts, debates at coffee machine, lunches, events and fun ! Let’s hope that 2021 will mean at least a part-time return to the offices… and meanwhile please don’t forget to turn on from time to time the camera

From a TOPIC perspective, year 2020 was a transition year while we were initially expecting it to be a year of growth….

But there are several reasons for being positive :

• we welcomed 7 new TOPIC colleagues in 2020 and so at end 2020 we are 24 TOPIC colleagues, compared to 22 at end of 2019… it demonstrates that the transparent, fair and shared business model that we strongly promote remains attractive and praised 
  
  
• we maintained or even increased our presence at some of our clients , it demonstrates that we managed to keep the trust in our services from our clients in this exceptional year where companies were very cautious in onboarding external staff
  
  
• we reinforced our privileged contacts at some of our clients , it emphasizes that our reputation of quality services is increasing and valued at client side….     
  
  
• our trio of TOPIC Partners, François, Frank and Thierry , managed to find out its cruise mode and remained focus on making TOPIC a success by bringing added-value both to our clients and to our TOPIC colleagues  
  

In 2020, TOPIC experienced also an aborted start in Luxembourg due mainly to the very bad timing at light of the COVID-19 crisis but we definitively learned from it ! And we may reconsider to return on that market when things are back to the “normal” !

A very short words on perspective for 2021 : our focus will for sure be on reinforcing our presence on the Belgian market by further expanding our clients base and by extending where relevant our services offering.

We hope that next year, several of you will become one of our new TOPIC clients or colleagues !
